It’s only the second time that db magazine has run its competition for redevelopments of existing builds. The event received an overwhelming response with 289 entrants and three prizes and seven mentions awarded. The quality of the projects was also exceptional.
The executive committee of the BDIA (German Association of Interior Designers) chose its favourite objects from 32 products submitted by association members – and Occo was one of the items gaining top rankings.
In the light-flooded headquarters of offshore company Heerema, Wilkhahn’s Graph conference chair and Graph and Timetable tables are an attractive combination for small meetings and large conferences alike.
Wilkhahn featured a whole range of new and established products for office 4.0 at Orgatec in Cologne. The showcase focused on three key questions: how can staff consistently maintain good health? How can design foster loyalty and motivation? And what’s the best way to promote interaction between office workers?
Discovering and honoring the very best in interior design is the aim of the German Design Council’s ICONIC AWARDS: Interior Innovation competition. One of the products singled out this year is Wilkhahn’s Metrik cantilever chair, which won the “Best of Best” award.
Wilkhahn’s PrintStool One, produced in collaboration with designer Thorsten Franck, is the first dynamic stool manufactured using 3D printing methods. A brief film shows the beauty of its production process, the diversity of options it affords, and the new aesthetic of the surfaces.

The city on the Persian Gulf will be presenting itself for the second time this year during Dubai Design Week as an international hotspot for the design community. The event will be based in Dubai Design District (d3) where the Wilkhahn showroom is also located.
